Queen’s Day celebrations held in New Delhi

"On April 30, the Dutch celebrate Queen’s Day which is their biggest and a national holiday to honor the birthday of the Queen of the nation, Queen Beatrix. On 30th April 2013, the ambassador of The Netherlands in India celebrated the investiture of the new King of The Netherlands, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander, at his residence with more than 1100 members of the Indian and Dutch communities to commemorate this occasion. Congress President Sonia Gandhi attended the event to convey her best wishes to the new King. The spectacular event welcomed everyone to eat, drink and enjoy the Indo-Dutch dance performance of Astad Deboo Dance Company and De Stilte from Breda in The Netherlands. The event was a grand success and was well attended where H.E. Mr. Pinak Ranjan Chakravarty, Secretary (Economic Relations) in the Ministry of External Affairs was the Chief Guest and joined the Dutch ambassador for the national anthems."
